• Vegetable Gardens and Flower Beds: Thoroughly mix into the top 3″ of new garden soil 2 1/2 to 5 pounds per 100 square feet. Water thoroughly. Amend the back fill soil with 1 to 2 tablespoons per new transplant hole, fill the hole with the amended soil, and water thoroughly. Side dress established plants with 1/2 to 1 cup, monthly during the growing season.
• Container Gardens: Thoroughly mix 1/8 to 1/4 cup per gallon of soil for new plants or 5 to 10 pounds per cubic yard. Once a month during growing season, lightly mix 2 to 4 tablespoons per gallon into the surface soil of established plants.
• Trees: Prepare the transplant hole of new trees, mix 1 to 2 cups into the back fill soil, fill the hole and around the tree with the amended soil, and water thoroughly. For established trees, evenly distribute and mix into the soil 1 to 2 pounds per 1″ of trunk diameter around the tree base and out to the drip line (the area located under the outer circumference of the tree’s branches). Water thoroughly.
• Row Crops: 2 to 3 weeks before planting, add to the soil 200 to 400 pounds per acre depending on the crop’s specific requirements as determined by a soil test .

To prepare liquid applications poured directly into the soil or sprayed on plant leaves, add 2 to 4 tablespoons per gallon of water. Let the seed meal steep for 48 hours. Stir to mix the solution before applying, and use all of it.
