How to Use Down To Earth Rock Phosphate 0-3-0*

Follow these growing tips to use Down To Earth Rock Phosphate 0-3-0 with confidence.

• Vegetable Gardens and Flower Beds: Thoroughly mix and apply 2 1/2 to 5 pounds per 100 square feet into the top 3 ” of new garden soil. New transplants need 1/4 cup per transplant hole. Mix into the back fill soil, refill the hole, and water thoroughly. To promote fruiting and flowering during the growing season, side dress established plants in the fall or early spring with 1/4 to 1/2 cup.
• Container Gardens: For new plantings, thoroughly mix 1/4 cup per gallon of garden soil or 5 to 10 pounds per cubic yard of soil. Every other month during the growing season, lightly mix 1 tablespoon per gallon into the soil of established plants.
• Trees: Prepare the transplant hole for new trees and mix 1 to 2 cups with the back fill soil. Fill the hole and around the tree with the amended soil. Water thoroughly. Spread 1 pound per 1″ of trunk diameter around the base of established trees and out to the drip line (the area located under the outer circumference of the tree’s branches). Water thoroughly.
• Bulbs: Thoroughly mix into the soil 1 tablespoon per hole for medium size bulbs, more for larger varieties. Water thoroughly.
