Coco Coir Bricks

Closeup of burnt-orange Coco Coir Bricks

Whether you’re germinating seeds or planting in pots, containers, or in your outdoor garden, you’ll want to amend your soil with Coco Coir Bricks. Even hydroponic gardens can make effective use of these bacteria-free fibers.

A natural, renewable by-product of coconut harvesting, Coco Coir Bricks create a growing medium that not only holds water well, but promotes excellent drainage and prevents soil erosion. And because the bricks decompose slowly, they’ll last a lot longer in your soil than peat moss.

You’ll also use less fertilizer because the coarse fibers help keep nutrients in the soil and weeds out, no matter what the soil’s composition. The structural integrity of both sandy and clay soil improves when Coco Coir Bricks are added.

How to Use Coco Coir Bricks

  • Hydrate the compressed brick  in a bucket of water for a minimum of one hour. The fibers will expand and become moist and fluffy.
  • Mix two parts soil or potting mix with one part hydrated Coco Coir Brick fibers.

Your plants will be healthier, your soil’s structural integrity will improve significantly, and you’ll have fewer weeds and pests when you amend your soil with Coco Coir Bricks.
