How to Use Down To Earth Bio-Turf 8-3-5 *

Follow these growing tips to use Down To Earth Bio-Turf 8-3-5 with confidence.

• Lawns: New lawns – before seeding or laying down sod, mix 12 pounds per 1,000 square feet into the top 2 to 4 feet of soil, and water well. Established lawns – toward the end of the rainy season (spring), apply 6 to 12 lbs per 1,000 square feet. Water thoroughly. During and towards the end of the dry season (summer and fall), only use 5 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Aerated lawns enhance fertilizer activity.
• Vegetable Gardens: New gardens – thoroughly mix 4 to 6 pounds per 100 square feet into the soil. Transplants – mix 1 to 2 tablespoons into the back fill soil of the transplant hole. Fill the hole with the amended soil and around the transplant. Water thoroughly. Established plants – once a month during the growing season, side dress each plant with 2 to 4 tablespoons.
• Row Crops: Depending on the crop’s specific nutrient requirements and nitrogen requirements per acre, 625 to 2,500 pounds per acre.
