How to Use Down To Earth Fruit Tree 6-2-4*

• “Pome” fruit trees (apples, pears, Asian pears):
  • 1 to 3 years after transplanting (non-fruit bearing) – Just after blooming finishes, apply 1 cup per inch of trunk diameter evenly to soil around the tree. Begin a foot from the trunk and work out toward the drip line (the area located under the outer circumference of the tree’s branches). Apply two more times at one-month intervals for a yearly total of 3 cups per 1″ of trunk diameter.
  • 3 years or more of growth (fruit bearing) – Just after blooming finishes, apply up to 2 1/2 pounds evenly to the soil around the tree, beginning a foot from the trunk and work out toward the drip line. Repeat one more time in the middle of the growing season for a yearly total of 5 pounds.
• “Stone fruit” (peaches, plums, cherries, nectarines, apricots ) and other fruit (figs, kiwis, mangos, papaya, starfruit) trees:
  • 1 to 3 years after transplanting (non-fruit bearing) – Just after blooming finishes, apply 2 cups per inch of trunk diameter evenly to soil around the tree. Begin a foot from the trunk and work out toward the drip line (the area located under the outer circumference of the tree’s branches). Apply two more times at one-month intervals for a yearly total of 6 cups per 1″ of trunk diameter.
  • 3 years or more of growth (fruit bearing) – Just after blooming finishes, apply up to 4 pounds evenly to the soil around the tree. Begin a foot from the trunk and work out toward the drip line. Repeat one more time in the middle of the growing season for a yearly total of 8 pounds
