How to Use Down To Earth Vegetable Garden 4-4-4*

Follow these growing tips to use Down To Earth Vegetable Garden 4-4-4 with confidence.

• Vegetable and Herb Gardens: New gardens – thoroughly mix 3 to 6 pounds per 100 square feet of garden soil into the top 3″ of soil. New transplants – mix 1 to 2 tablespoons with the back fill soil from the transplant hole. Fill the hole and around the plant with the amended soil. Water thoroughly. Established plants – once a month during the growing season, side dress each plant with 2 to 4 ounces.
• Container Gardens: New plantings – thoroughly mix 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil or 5 to 10 pounds per cubic yard of soil. Established plants – once a month during the growing season, lightly mix 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil into the surface of the soil.
• Trees: New trees – mix 1 to 2 cups with the back fill soil from the transplant hole. Fill the hole and around the tree with the amended soil. Water thoroughly. Established trees – mix 1 pound per 1″ of trunk diameter into the soil surface around the base of the tree and out to the drip line (the area located under the outer circumference of the tree’s branches). Water thoroughly.
