Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree

Bare Nordmann Fir Tree on a red and white velvet floor covering

Native to the Caucasus mountain range of Turkey, Georgia, and Russia, the Nordmann Fir has recently made its way into the U.S. Christmas tree market. And it’s no wonder. This popular European tree has unusually dense branches that are jam-packed with needles, giving it its signature, full form.

The Nordmann Fir’s flat, round-tipped needles are a rich, dark green on top and a silvery, blue-white underneath. Needle retention is excellent, and the light fragrance makes it the perfect tree for allergy sufferers.

Our Nordmann Firs are farm grown in Oregon and will retain their freshness throughout the holiday season when properly cared for.

Christmas Tree Care Tips

  • Water your tree immediately after setting it up. It will be very thirsty and may need up to a gallon of water during its first 24 hours in your home. Plain, room-temperature tap water is fine.
  • Be sure to check the water level every day, and add water as needed. A well-watered tree will shed fewer needles and remain healthy longer. Also, dry trees are combustible and represent a fire hazard. So water often, making sure water levels never drop below the tree’s base.
  • Add non-toxic Tree Life Tree Preservative to the water to ensure your tree gets the essential nutrients and minerals it needs to stay healthy throughout the holidays. It also softens fibers, making it easier for your tree to get the water it needs.
